Bihar: Nitish-Tejashwi govt to seek trust vote on August 24

The Nitish Kumar-led Mahagathbandhan government will prove its majority on the floor of the Bihar Assembly on August 24, 2022. Before this, the Cabinet will be expanded on August 16. Currently, only CM Nitish Kumar and deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav have taken oath. Currently the strength of the Bihar Assembly is 242 and RJD is the largest party with 79 seats. The BJP has a strength of 77 while Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) has 45 members.
