2 die of Covid, 613 test positive in Raj in 24 hrs

JAIPUR: Two persons died and 613 tested positive for Covid in the state on Wednesday taking the overall tally to 12,99,007 and this month’s toll to 12.
The deaths were reported from Jhalawar and Banswara. With two deaths, the toll rose to 9,592, since the first death was reported in the state in 2020.
The health department collected 6,227 samples on Thursday from across the state, out of which 1,365 samples were collected from Jaipur, Bhilwara (510), Alwar (492), Kota (453), Udaipur (405), Jhalawar (349) and Jhunjhunu (346).
In Churu, no sample was collected, in Bundi (3), Sirohi (3), Sriganganagar (4) and in Sikar (9) samples were collected.
The health department declared 595 persons as recovered from Covid.
Active cases have increased marginally from 4,142 to 4,158. Out of 4,158 active cases, Jaipur is accommodating 1,470, while rest of the active cases are recovering in other districts.
