Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.26% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 11:20AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

Prestige Estates Projects(up 3.64 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.11 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 2.07 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 2.02 per cent) and Godrej Properties(up 1.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Brigade Enterprises(down 1.36 per cent) and Phoenix Mills(down 1.24 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.26 per cent at 440.3 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 150.1 points at 17684.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 588.97 points at 59406.26.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., JP Power, YES Bank, and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of eMudhra Ltd., , Ltd., and Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Future Consumer, , , Agni Green Power Ltd. and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
