HD Deve Gowda hopes for revival of Janata Parivar

BENGALURU: Following political developments in Bihar, JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda expressed the hope that the erstwhile Janata Dal Parivar would reemerge as a political alternative in the country.
On Tuesday, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar decided to part ways with ally BJP and form a government with the help of Rashtriya Janata Dal led by Lalu Prasad Yadav. Nitesh was sworn in as chief minister for a record eighth time on Wednesday
In a tweet on Wednesday, Gowda said: “I have been watching the developments in Bihar. It made me think of the days when the Janata Dal Parivar was under one roof, which gave three PMs. I am in my advanced years, but if the younger generation decides it can offer a good alternative to this great nation.”
