Anubrata Mondal, the leader of the TMC, ignored the CBI's summons in the investigation of cattle smuggling on Wednesday for the tenth time. Following Mamata Banerjee's senior aide's refusal to appear before the CBI today, Mondal's attorneys were seen approaching the agency's office. According to reports, he asked for a 14-day stay to testify before the CBI. This comes after the veteran Trinamool Congress leader skipped his 9th summons and sought treatment at the government-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata on Monday afternoon, citing "poor health." A seven-person medical team evaluated him, but they categorically stated that he didn't need to be admitted to the super-specialty clinic.
