MUMBAI: Five people, including two commuters, were injured after the driver lost control of the bus and it hit a few parked vehicles and rammed into a tree at Dindoshi in Goregaon East on Tuesday.
Prime facie, sources said that the brakes of the bus had reportedly failed, but BEST is conducting a detailed inquiry and has not confirmed the cause of the crash.
Amongst those injured are bus driver Kundalik Dhongde, conductor Abasaheb Kore and three others which included two passengers and an autorickshaw driver, BEST official said.
The incident occurred at 3.30pm.
The bus, on route no. 326, was moving from Jyoti restaurant towards Santosh Nagar in Goregaon East when it crashed into a tree and also hit the autorickshaw.
