Coimbatore student Deeksha Dhiwakar is the state topper (AIR 53) with the same percentile of marks in session 1 exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the final scores for JEE (Main) paper 1 exam on Monday. Of 39,348 candidates appeared for the exam from Tamil Nadu, 9,918 have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) exam scheduled on August 28. Of the qualified candidates, 6,860 were boys and 3,058 were girls.

His father taught him computer science. Pranav who scored 98.6% in CBSE Class X exams got 95.2% in Class XII. To complete practical exams and assignments, he was admitted to BVM Global School in Perungudi. His mother Swathy Ramesh is a teacher under NIOS in a city school, and she inspired him to study in an open school.
In the entrance exam usually dominated by boys, Deeksha Dhiwakar, a girl from Coimbatore, has emerged the state topper. "I am grateful that I can be an inspiration for other girls who want to take the test. I am proud that my success will motivate others" she said.
Another student from the city, Shravan S, scored 99.996 in JEE (Main) and got all India rank 65. All the three want to pursue computer science engineering in one of the IITs.
