Offline round for MCom admissions begins from today

The Gujarat University will conduct an offline admission round for admissions on 2,982 seats for masters in commerce course that are still vacant after completion of two rounds of admissions.

The Gujarat University will conduct an offline admission round for admissions on 2,982 seats for masters in commerce course that are still vacant after completion of two rounds of admissions. Students who want to get registered will have to submit their forms in person at their preferred colleges starting from August 10. The last date for submission of forms will be August 17.


Sources said that so far GU has conducted two rounds of admissions for MCom and in which 4,258 students have been admitted. There are a total 7,240 MCom seats available in various colleges affiliated with GU.

As per the schedule the colleges will announce the merit list on August 22 after which the students will have to confirm their admissions by paying fees at the college. On August 29, the university will announce the details of vacant seats.


The university also announced that for admissions in science courses the deadline for paying token fees to confirm admissions has been extended to August 11. Students will be able to pay the fees by August 11 and inform the college about it till 5 pm on August 13. Sources said that as not many students had confirmed their admissions in science courses the university decided to extend the deadline.
