60-yr-old widow, granddaughter found murdered in Meerut

MEERUT: A 60-year-old widow, Kaushal Sirohi, and her 12-year-old granddaughter were found in a pool of blood with their throats slit in their house in Shastri Nagar area here on Monday morning.
Preliminary investigation suggests the involvement of neighbours, police said, adding three people have been picked up for questioning.
According to police, the attacker had entered through the back door, and slit the throats of the two. The entire house was ransacked. It was their domestic help who first discovered the two bodies lying on the ground. Sirohi was a widow of retired head constable Ratan Singh, who died two months ago due to illness.
