
OnePlus and iQOO launched their new phones in India last week. These phones are: The OnePlus 10T and iQOO 9T and are priced under Rs 50,000. That's not the only similarity between these phones. Both OnePlus 10T and iQOO 9T come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 120hz screen refresh rate, 5G support, and also fast charging support. Interestingly, both these phones also start at a price of Rs 49,999.
While there are many similarities between the OnePlus and iQOO, there are some differences as well. In some departments, the OnePlus 10T shines, while in other aspects the iQOO 9T looks like a better deal. We haven't compared the two phones in reality, but here's how the OnePlus 10T and the iQOO 9T 5G compare on paper, especially given their prices are the same.
The OnePlus 10T includes a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,412x1,080 pixels, 10-bit colours, RGB colour gamut, and HDR10+. The phone offers a 120hz screen refresh rate. The iQOO 9T, on the other hand, comes packed with a slightly larger screen that measures 6.78-inches with AMOLED panel and support for 120Hz refresh rate.
Both the OnePlus 10T and the iQOO 9T are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The OnePlus phone comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage support. The iQOO 9T, on the other hand, comes with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage support.

The OnePlus 10T offers a clean user interface. The smartphone runs on the Android 12 operating system with OxygenOS 12.1. The company has also promised to upgrade the phone to OxygenOS 13 later this year. The exact timeline hasn't been revealed yet. Meanwhile, the iQOO 9T runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12. It is expected that both these phones will get the taste of Android 13 as well.
Both phones come with support for fast charging. The OnePlus 10T comes with support for 150W fast charging, while the iQOO 9T comes with 120W fast charging. The phones also include the charging brick in the box. The 10T comes packed with a 4800mAh battery, while the 9T is backed by a 4700mAh battery unit.
In terms of cameras, both phones come with a triple rear camera system and a single sensor for selfies and video calls. The OnePlus 10T includes a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree FOV and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The iQOO 9T features a 50-megapixel ISOCELL GN5 primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support coupled with a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 12-megapixel portrait sensor. On the front, both phones include a 16-megapixel camera sensor.
The pricing of these phones is quite competitive. The OnePlus 10T comes in three variants 8GB RAM + 128GB storage for Rs 49,999, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage for Rs 54,999 and 16GB RAM + 256GB storage for Rs 55,999. There are some launch offers available on Amazon that drop the price of the 10T considerably.
The iQOO 9T has been launched at Rs 49,999 for the 8GB+128GB storage variant. The top-end model with 12GB+256GB storage comes at a price of Rs 54,999. The bank offers drop the price of the phone to Rs 45,999.
Overall, the OnePlus 10T and iQOO 9T have their own good and bad aspects. The good thing is that both phones offer powerful performance, fast charging support, and premium design and feel. On the software front, the OnePlus 10T takes an upper edge since OxygenOS is much cleaner than FunTouchOS. On the camera front, the OnePlus and iQOO are almost at par.
