Coal Scam Case LIVE: Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has awarded 3 years imprisonment to former Coal Secretary HC Gupta in a coal scam case of irregularities in the allocation of a Maharashtra coal block to a Nagpur-based private company. The court also awarded two year imprisonment to former joint-Secretary in the Ministry of Coal, KS Kropha - both were convicted by the court last week. The court also awarded four years jail term to Mukesh Gupta, Director of the private company in this matter.

Another 259 COVID-19 cases have been reported in the southern Chinese island province of Hainan, where some 80,000 tourists have been stranded by pandemic restrictions. Authorities declared Hainan’s beach resort city Sanya a COVID-19 hot spot Saturday and imposed a lockdown, confining Chinese citizens and expatriates to their hotels on what they had hoped would be a holiday from tight restrictions around much of China. Russian diplomat sees 'progress' in nuclear talks with Iran
Talks to restore the nuclear agreement between Iran and six other states are going in the right direction, according to Russian negotiator Mikhail Ulyanov. "Looks like we are making progress. Let's keep our fingers crossed," the Russian ambassador to international organizations in Vienna wrote on Twitter on Sunday after a meeting with EU chief negotiator Enrique Mora, without giving further details, dpa news agency reported.
