The NSE Nifty index traded 53.7 points up at 17451.2, while BSE Sensex was up 224.88 points at 58612.81 as of 10:30AM(IST)on August 08.
In the Nifty index, Mahindra & .(up 2.21 per cent), .(up 1.99 per cent), .(up 1.71 per cent), .(up 1.64 per cent) and .(up 1.63 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 3.64 per cent), State Bank of India(down 2.42 per cent), .(down 1.04 per cent), .(down 0.82 per cent) and .(down 0.81 per cent) were among the top losers.
