India continues its dominance in wrestling at the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022. India's Ravi Kumar Dahiya bagged gold in the men's freestyle 57kg wrestling. He defeated Ebikewenimo Welson of Nigeria in the final to win his maiden CWG gold. The match lasted two minutes and 16 seconds and Dahiya was extremely dominant and put his best show. He also won both his bouts against Suraj Singh of New Zealand and Pakistan's Asad Ali -- by technical superiority and did the same in the final as well. Post his win, he shared few pictures from the winning moment and wrote, "Suraj Singh of New Zealand and Pakistan's Asad Ali -- by technical superiority and did the same in the final as well." Dahiya, who has been India's most consistent wrestler over the last 2 years, won gold at the Asian Championships and defended his title the following year before his historic silver medal at Tokyo. India has so far won 55 medals, 18 gold, 15 silver and 22 bronze at ongoing Birmingham Games.
