Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.12% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 11:26AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.

Gland Pharma(up 1.51 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.4 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(up 1.23 per cent), Laurus(up 0.91 per cent) and Granules India(up 0.47 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Alkem Laboratories(down 4.85 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(down 1.68 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(down 1.07 per cent), Pfizer(down 1.0 per cent) and Lupin(down 0.96 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.12 per cent at 12923.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 64.55 points at 17462.05, while the BSE Sensex was up 256.91 points at 58644.84.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, JP Power, and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Ltd., Cool Caps Industries Ltd., , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , Zensar Tech, Birla Tyres, and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
