BENGALURU: A 39-year-old manager with a private finance firm was found charred to death inside his burnt car on Saturday at Hegganahalli Cross near Devanahalli on the outskirts of the city.
The deceased is Arif Pasha, a resident of Yelahanka New Town. Police have registered a murder case based on a complaint filed by Pasha's parents. The incident came to light around 3.30pm after some cattle-grazers noticed fire at an isolated place in Hegganahalli village. Alerted by them, Vishwanathapura police rushed to the spot and found a burnt male body inside the car. The body was identified by late night with the help of the vehicle registration number.
Pasha's relatives informed cops that the former had a dispute with his wife and she had recently started living with her parents.
"Pasha's parents suspect somebody murdered Pasha and set him and his vehicle on fire to destroy evidence. We have examined the crime scene and collected evidence with the help of FLS experts. Further investigation is on," said an officer.
