With 40 more Covid-related deaths, the death count increased to 5,26,689. Active cases, meanwhile, stand at 1,34,933. Total vaccination doses administered in the country has crossed 206.21 crore, according to the Co-WIN dashboard.

8 New Covid Cases In Andamans
The union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands reported eight new COVID-19 cases, eight less than the previous day, pushing the tally to 10,488, a health department official said on Sunday.
The archipelago now has 40 active COVID-19 cases.
Nine more persons recovered from COVID-19 on Saturday, taking the total number of recoveries to 10,319, he said.
Assam Reports 320 New COVID-19 Cases
Assam reported 320 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday at a positivity rate of 5.49 per cent, the National Health Mission (NHM) said.
Kamrup Metropolitan district, which primarily comprises Guwahati city, reported 28 of these cases. Cachar and Dhemaji also reported 28 new COVID-19 patients each, followed by 25 in Dibrugarh and 21 in Sivasagar, the bulletin said.
At present, the state has 4,426 active cases.

Chhattisgarh on Saturday reported 493 new coronavirus infections and four deaths, the state health department said. The positivity rate in the state stood at 5.30 per cent. The death count increased to 14,079. The state now has 3,371 active cases.
