
Four leaders of militant outfit National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT-Biswa Mohan faction) surrendered to the Tripura police. They fled from the camp in Bangladesh.
Police officials said that the NLFT (BM)’s four top cadres – self-styled colonel Umesh Koloi (42), self-styled warrant officer Fanijoy Reang (39), self-styled Lt. Colonel Victor Jamatia (47) and Uttam Kishore Jamatia (42) entered into Tripura from Bangladesh through Ganganagar border of Dhalai district.
A senior official who does not want to be named said that the militant outfit is facing a fund crunch. The militants deposited one AK-56 Rifle with two magazines and 60 bullets, one M-20 pistol with one magazine and five bullets, one point 38 pistol with one magazine and 15 rounds of bullets and extortion notice book.
