Covid Live: The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.5% (Representational)
India has recorded a total of 19,406 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's overall Covid tally to 4,41,26,994.
According to Union Health Ministry data, the number of active Covid cases in India declined to 1,34,793 today.
The COVID-19 death count climbed to 5,26,649 with 49 new fatalities in the last 24 hours, according to government data.
The active cases comprise 0.31 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.50 per cent, the ministry said.

Maharashtra's Thane Records 167 New COVID-19 Cases In 24 Hours
Thane district in Maharashtra has reported 167 new coronavirus positive cases, which took its overall infection tally to 7,34,944, a health official said today.
With the addition of these cases on Friday, there are now 865 active cases in the district, he said.
As one patient succumbed to the infection during the day, the death count rose to 11,931, the official said, adding that the count of recoveries reached, 7,22,912.
