Avenue Supermart shares up 0.31% as Sensex rises

Shares of . gained 0.31 per cent to Rs 4250.05 in Friday's session as of 01:29PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 123.41 points higher at 58422.21.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 5899.9 and a 52-week low of Rs 3185.1 on NSE. Around 8561 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:29PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 4245.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 4295.0 and Rs 4189.7 during the session so far. The scrip quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 134.69, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 31.49 and price to book value (PB) of 18.94, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 10.94.

Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 74.99 per cent stake in the company as of August 05, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 8.59 per cent and 6.33 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 30-Jun-2022, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 10067.21 crore, up 14.15 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 8819.02 crore and up 93.06 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 642.93 crore for the latest quarter, up 574.14 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
