Union Home minister Amit Shah said that top Congress leaders protested in black clothes to promote appeasement politics. He said that wearing black clothes they wanted to give a message against the Ram temple foundation-stone laying by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this day in 2020. Congress called for a nationwide protest against price rise, fuel price hike and GST. Party leaders and workers staged protests across the country.
