Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Times Guaranty(up 20.0%), Weizmann Ltd(up 19.96%), P G Industry(up 19.5%), Sybly Ind(up 19.35%), Olympic Cards(up 19.29%), Network Ltd(up 19.25%), Ltd.(up 18.77%), Add-Shop E-Retail(up 18.14%) and Tinna Rubber(up 17.11%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 341.31 points up at 58640.11, while the 50-share index, NSE was 90.65 points up at 17472.65.
In the Nifty50 index, 34 stocks traded in the green, while 16 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as , , , and Veerkrupa Jewellers Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while , , , Ltd. and touched their new 52-week low during the session.
