Indian@75: Army organises 'painting competition' for children in Ramban

The theme for the competition was aptly selected as 'Azadi ka amrit mahotsav & Har Ghar Tiranga' - the event also encouraged the children for celebrating upcoming 75th Independence Day and hoist tricolor made by them on their houses.

JAMMU: To commemorate 75 years of Independence, a painting competition was organised by Indian Army at Parhander High School, Batu in Ramban district where participants painted patriotism on the canvas, army spokesperson said here.
PRO Defence Jammu said, "The theme for the competition was aptly selected as 'Azadi ka amrit mahotsav & Har Ghar Tiranga' - the event also encouraged the children for celebrating upcoming 75th Independence Day and hoist tricolor made by them on their houses."

"Majority of children brought out their patriotic emotions on the paper in their own creativity with great zeal and competitive spirits.'


He said, "The event encouraged children to take painting as a hobby and around 34 children (21 boys & 13 Girls) in the age group between 6-14 years participated in this event while locals also joined the occasion and encouraged the participants.

"The competition not only enhanced but also sparked the minds and creativity of the children," the army spokesperson said, further adding, "the active participation and healthy competition amongst the children made the event bright and added to its charm."
