Bollywood actress Kajol, daughter of Tanuja and Shomu Mukherjee, made her acting debut with 1992 film 'Bekhudi'. The actress, who turns 48 today, was still in school when she entered the world of cinema.

The actress later quit her studies to focus on her acting career. The 48-year-old, who has several accolades under her name including six Filmfare Awards, Padma Shri and more, gave us many hits such as 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Fanaa', 'Ishq', 'Gupt', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and more.

While the '80s and '90s were riding high on beauty and "spunk", Kajol's entry in Bollywood raised several 'eyebrows', including the discussion on the star child's unibrow. Even after the 'Baazigar' actress aced different roles, she never changed her facial elements, including the unibrow, which became the talk of town.

The actress was trolled, mocked and often questioned about it. During an interview in 2016, the actress finally addressed the elephant in the room.

Kajol appeared on Vogue BFF with her childhood friend Mickey Contractor. The actress was pressed into saying goodbye to her unibrow, but she didn't give up until much later in her career.

On the show, Kajol revealed that her mother agreed to let her mark her debut with 'Bekhudi' only after she learned that Mickey would be doing her hair and make-up. The actress had further revealed that it was him that convinced everyone to stick with the unibrow.

"Maa only gave Rahul uncle the permission for the film saying I know for a fact that Gautam is writing the film and Mickey is doing the hair and make-up and everything else. So I know she is going to be safe." Talking about her signature uni-brow look, Kajol revealed, "Actually Mickey was the one who convinced everybody that I should go with this unibrow," the actress revealed.
