Suzlon Energy(up 5.63%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 4.79%), RTNPOWER(up 4.00%), JSW Energy(up 3.74%), Energy Development Company(up 3.68%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 3.38%), Alstom T&D India(up 3.38%), Jyoti Structures(up 2.80%), NLC India(up 2.36%) and Indo Tech Transformers(up 2.27%) were among the top gainers.
Karma Energy(down 4.09%), KEC International(down 3.49%), DPSC(down 1.56%), Inox wind(down 1.42%), Adani Power(down 1.24%), Transmission(down 1.20%), NHPC(down 1.12%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.70%), ADANIGREEN(down 0.64%) and CESC(down 0.63%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 74.95 points up at 17456.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 279.93 points at 58578.73 at around 11:26AM.
UltraTech Cement(up 2.62%), ICICI Bank(up 2.03%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.95%), State Bank of India(up 1.73%), Infosys(up 1.45%), Grasim Industries(up 1.43%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.32%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.28%), Wipro(up 1.26%) and NTPC(up 1.2%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Reliance Industries(down 0.97%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.94%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.91%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.83%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.7%), Eicher Motors(down 0.68%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.67%), Enterprises(down 0.56%), Cipla(down 0.53%) and Britannia Industries(down 0.48%) were trading in the red.
