Pune Municipal Corporation to hold cycle rally to mark Independence Day

PUNE: The Pune Municipal Cycle Club will organise a 'Grand Cycle Rally' to mark Independence Day.
The participants have been told to fill an online registration form on the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) website and join the event that will be free for all.
Suresh Pardeshi, the coordinator of the PMC Cycle Club said, the rally was part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
He said, "We are expecting around 1,000 cyclists to participate in the rally."
"The event will be inaugurated by municipal commissioner Vikram Kumar, along with other PMC officials," said Pardeshi.
The cycling route will start from the PMC main building and will take a tour from Modern Cafe, Jangli Maharaj Road, Alka Talkies Chowk, Tilak Road, Pooram Chowk, Bajirao Road and Shaniwar Wada to complete the round trip back to the civic body's headquarters.
"The cyclists will get certificates for participating in the event," added Pardeshi.
