DM: Allocate space for social forestry in Nana Rao Park

Kanpur: District magistrate, Kanpur Nagar, Vishakh G on Wednesday asked the municipal commissioner to allocate some space for social forestry in Nana Rao Park, also known as Memorial Well Garden, where local residents will be asked to plant sapling there
During inspection of the park, the DM suggested developing the park in separate parts such as yoga park, badminton park, adventure park etc. In adventure parks, climbing rope, wall climbing, and obstacle courses should be developed so that apart from adventure sports, people willing to join the Army or police could prepare themselves physically.
“Develop a medicinal plant park inside the Nana Rao Park. Proper facilities should be provided to morning walkers. Remove electric poles, bricks lying inside the park and put benches for the people”, he said.
The DM and the municipal commissioner Shiv Sharan Appa also inspected the swimming pool which is being renovated at the boating site.
Kanpur Municipal Corporation is renovating the park which has a historical background.
