Retd armyman found dead

Dumka: A retired Indian Army official, Shyam Lal Yadav (70) was found dead near a railway track to the north of Police Club under Jirwabadi police outpost of Sahibganj on Wednesday. Shyam’s relative Deepak Yadav said he had left home around 4am for regular morning walk. “The locals found his body lying in a pool of blood with injury marks on the stomach,” he added. An FIR has been registered.
Exorcist called to treat snakebite victim in hosp
Gumla: A snakebite victim was allegedly treated by an exorcist at the sadar hospital in Gumla on Tuesday. Archana Devi (25), a resident of Ambwa village, was bit by a snake at Silam village. She was admitted to sadar hospital, where her family members allegedly called an exorcist who started treating her inside the hospital ward. She was later taken to Rims.
