NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 51.73 points down at 58298.80 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Yogi Infra Proj(down 14.71 per cent), Satia Industries(down 12.14 per cent), Supra Pacific Manage(down 10.07 per cent), Ltd.(down 10.00 per cent) and K&R Rail Engineering(down 9.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 31 stocks closed in the green, while 19 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 6.15 points down at 17382.0.
On the BSE, , Oceanic Foods, , and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Ltd., Veerkrupa Jewellers Ltd., and touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
