Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.21% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 10:24AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

AU Small Finance Bank(up 3.3 per cent), IDFCBANK(up 1.74 per cent), IndusInd Bank(up 0.77 per cent), HDFC Bank(up 0.53 per cent) and Bandhan Bank(up 0.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.

State Bank of India(down 0.67 per cent), Federal Bank(down 0.32 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 0.29 per cent) and Bank of Baroda(down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was up 0.21 per cent at 38067.85 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 50.8 points at 17438.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 169.78 points at 58520.31.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.

Shares of , Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, Tata Steel and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , , ., Party Cruisers Ltd. and DSJ Comm hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , Melstar Info, , Karda Const and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
