
Commonwealth Games 2022 Live Updates, Day 7 Schedule of India (August 4): Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu sailed into the pre-quarterfinals of the women’s singles event with a comfortable straight-game win over Maldives’ Fathimath Nabaaha Abdul Razzaq at the Commonwealth Games on Thursday. Hima Das qualified for the women’s 200m semifinals after winning her heat with a timing of 23.42s. Amit Panghal and Jasmine won their respective bouts to take India’s medal count in boxing to five. Panghal ensured a fourth medal from the boxing ring after winning his flyweight (48-51 kg) quarter-final against Scotland’s Lennon Mulligan. Later in the day, Jasmine beat New Zealand’s Troy Garton by a 4-1 split verdict in the women’s lightweight (60kg) quarter-final. Here’s the full schedule of Day 7

Men's Hockey: India beat Wales by 4-1 in their pool B match and storm into the semifinals of CWG 2022.
Men's +92Kg - Quarter Final: Sagar wins with an unanimous decision and beats Keddy Agnes from Seychelles. Another medal confirmed for India
Gareth Furlong pulls one back for Wales. He is able to convert from the penalty corner and India have conceded a goal. However, they are still 4-1 ahead
Sagar Ahlawat vs Keddy Evans Agnes of Seychelles in men's 92kg quarterfinal. The judges rule in Sagar's favour with a 4-1 split decision.

That was some effort from India's Joshana Chinappa and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu to stage a late comeback in the second game and the Mixed Doubles - Round of 16 match. But it wasn't to be. Donna Lobban and Cameron Pilley of Australia win by 8-11, 9-11.
India Men will go against Wales in their final Pool B match. Even a 1-0 win should be enough for them to top the group and avoid Australia in the semifinals. Manpreet Singh and co. have scored a total of 23 goals so far at the Games and fresh off an 8-0 thrashing of Canada would want to finish the group stage on a strong note.

The Squash action doesn't stop today. India's Joshana Chinappa and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu up against Donna Lobban and Cameron Pilley of Australia in the Mixed Doubles Round of 16.
The Sri Lankan pair gave a tough fight in the first game but the Indians secured a late win and were better by far in the second game. Anahat Singh and Sunayna Sara Kuruvilla race into the Round of 16 with a 11-9, 11-4 win.
India's Raj Alagar wins his group match against Dan Mullen 11-5, 11-2, 9-11, 11-2 to seal his progress to semifinal in a straight shootout for 2nd spot.

Having missed out on a podium finish at the Tokyo Olympics, Amit Panghal has got the cameras back at him again. Bronze confirmed but he'll have his eyes on the big prize.
