Nagpur: Sakkardara police have booked a Jodhpur youth — Pappu Gujjar — for allegedly sending a threat letter to Sayyed Talef Taji, a descendant of Tajuddin Baba, who is revered by both Muslims and Hindus.
Police said Taji received a threat letter via courier from one Pappu Gujjar, who is a resident of Kamla Nehru Nagar, Jodhpur (Rajasthan). Claiming that his gang had eliminated Punjabi pop star Sidhu Moosewala, Gujjar said that his gang members have visited Nagpur.
Gujjar had also mentioned the complainant’s vehicle number and reportedly warned him that he too would meet the same fate as Moosewala.
Following the complaint filed by Taji, the police have registered a case.
In view of the treat to his life, armed police personnel have been deployed at Taji’s residence. tnn
