The NSE Nifty index closed 6.15 points down at 17382.0, while BSE Sensex ended down 51.73 points at 58298.8.
On the other hand, .(down 3.10 per cent), Ltd.(down 2.89 per cent), .(down 2.33 per cent), State Bank of India(down 1.41 per cent) and .(down 1.32 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
