Varun Beverages(up 6.49%), Prataap Snacks(up 4.57%), Nestle India(up 2.50%), Marico(up 2.13%), Zydus Wellness(up 2.01%), ADF Foods(up 1.94%), Umang Dairies(up 1.54%), Emami(up 1.03%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(up 0.78%) and Dabur India(up 0.72%) stood among the top gainers.
Nakoda Group(down 4.98%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 3.66%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.89%), Jyothy Labs(down 1.66%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 1.63%), Gillette India(down 1.12%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 0.86%), P & G Hygiene(down 0.84%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 0.77%) and Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 0.59%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 6.15 points down at 17382.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 51.73 points at 58298.8.
Cipla(up 3.23%), Nestle India(up 2.5%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.4%), Infosys(up 2.16%), Enterprises(up 1.99%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.8%), JSW Steel(up 1.77%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.76%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.26%) and Wipro(up 0.73%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, NTPC(down 3.1%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.89%), Coal India(down 2.33%), State Bank of India(down 1.41%), Reliance Industries(down 1.32%), Shree Cement(down 1.28%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.25%), Axis Bank(down 1.22%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.84%) and IndusInd Bank(down 0.77%) closed in the red.
