Shares of TIINDIA(up 4.86 per cent), Bosch(up 1.51 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 0.68 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.65 per cent) and Tata Motors(up 0.24 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Balkrishna Industries(down 2.89 per cent), Bharat Forge(down 2.23 per cent), Ashok Leyland(down 1.75 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(down 1.54 per cent) and Escorts Kubota(down 0.09 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.2 per cent up at 12945.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 6.15 points at 17382.0, while the BSE Sensex stood down 51.73 points at 58298.8.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 ended in the green, while 19 closed in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, , Tata Steel and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of , , , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , Melstar Info, Debock Sales & Mktg and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
