Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 09:59AM

NMDC Ltd(up 2.50%), 20 Microns(up 2.40%), Pokarna(up 1.54%), Ashapura Minechem(up 1.38%), Aro Granite Industries(up 1.33%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.27%), MOIL(up 0.75%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 0.43%) and Oriental Trimex(up 0.31%) were among the top gainers.

KIOCL(down 1.33%), Coal India(down 0.33%) and Dvpt Corporation(down 0.20%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 95.45 points up at 17483.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 267.37 points at 58617.9 at around 09:59AM.

Hindalco Industries(up 3.72%), Infosys(up 2.32%), Eicher Motors(up 1.67%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.64%), Cipla(up 1.57%), Wipro(up 1.54%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.23%), Enterprises(up 1.22%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.22%) and Tata Steel(up 1.07%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 2.89%), NTPC(down 1.19%), State Bank of India(down 0.71%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.5%), Britannia Industries(down 0.48%), Reliance Industries(down 0.34%), Coal India(down 0.33%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.19%), SBI Life(down 0.16%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.04%) were trading in the red.
