Hyderabad gang rape: Bail for main accused

HYDERABAD: A special POCSO court in Hyderabad, on Wednesday, granted bail to Saduddin Malik, the prime accused and only adult arrested in the Jubilee Hills gangrape case. This comes a week after all the five minors accused in the May 28 gang-rape were granted bail by the juvenile justice board.
Following the court order, Malik was released from the Chanchalguda central prison where he had been lodged from the time of his arrest. Malik’s counsel had argued that the accused was entitled to bail since most of the investigation in the case has been completed and the chargesheet has already been filed before the local court.
On June 8, the police had declared the arrest of six accused including the minor son of a local legislator for their alleged involvement in crime
