
Actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi, known for his work in films such as Gadar, Fiza and shows such as Scam 1992, passed away on August 4 in Mumbai after a cardiac arrest. He was 68. Ashish Chaturvedi, Mithilesh’s son-in-law, told indianexpress.com that the senior actor passed away on Thursday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest at 4 am.
He said, “Mithilesh ji had heart issues and was being treated at Kokilaben Ambani hospital for the last ten days. He got a heart attack this morning at 4 am, following which he passed away.” His funeral will take place in Mumbai’s Versova today around 2-3pm.
The actor is known for being a part of multiple films and shows such as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Koi Mil Gaya, My Friend Pinto, Phata Poster Nikla Hero and Ready amongst others. He was also an active part of the theatre world and was a regular name in the circle of artists from the showbiz.

He appeared in TV shows such as Patiala Babes and web shows like Scam 1992 where he played Ram Jethmalani. He last appeared in Gulabo Sitabo with Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana.
