Kota: A day after a 15-year-old girl allegedly died due to lack of treatment at Bundi district hospital, collector Ravindra Goswami on Wednesday visited the hospital and took round of the wards interacting with patients with queries over their wellbeing and care.
However, he expressed ire terming the situation in hospital ‘unfortunate’.
Assuring to improve situation soon, the collector set up a three-member committee to probe into death of minor girl and directed to begin three-layer monitoring by ADM, SDM and principal medical officer, besides a committee headed by ADM to make recommendations on improvement in the hospital.
The situation in the hospital is ‘unfortunate’ and there should be facilities and medical care up to the mark as it is a district level government hospital, collector Goswami said after the visit. “A committee headed by ADM was formed to make recommendation on improvement of the situation in the hospital and SDM was deputed as nodal officer of the hospital while the principal medical officer was directed to inspect the hospital in the morning and evening and to report the situation, he added. Besides, monthly roaster system was now applied in duties of medical officers and nursing staff and the nursing and medical staff engaged in nonmedical field were called to their proper place.”
A committee, headed by SDM was also set up to probe into death of girl on Tuesday early morning in the hospital and stern action would be taken against whosoever was found negligent and careless, the collector said.tnn
