After Sidhu Moosewala's assassination in broad daylight, the Punjabi and Bollywood artistes have become more vigilant of their security. Now, after receiving death threats, Punjabi lyricist and singer, Jaani wrote to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann seeking police protection. In the letter, Jaani stated that he has been receiving death threats from "anti-social elements, gangsters" since some time now and he is fearful of his safety and that of his family. Jaani in his letter to the CM stated that not just him even his manager Dilraj Singh Nanda has been receiving threats too. Apparently, Jaani is feeling so stressed because of the threats that in his letter he has also claimed that "I have shifted my family out from Punjab for their safety".
