KOLKATA: Indian Technology Congress Association (ITCA) and South Point High School on Tuesday inked an MoU to launch a nano-satellite in early 2023 and build a space laboratory in the school to monitor the satellite and harvest its data over a three-year period.
ITCA secretary general K Gopalakrishnan said cubesats - 10cmx10cm satellites - had made space exploration more accessible to students. "This will be the first student satellite in east India," he said. "They will help design, develop, launch and study the findings from Priyamvadasat named after Priyamvada Birla," said principal R S Bhattacharya.
