Two arrested for online betting

Kanpur: The police arrested two men accused of online betting on India-West Indies T20 match late Monday night. Around Rs 13 lakh in cash, betting slips, laptop and tablet have been recovered from them. Apart from betting, both of them were also distributing IDs to their counterparts. ACP Govind Nagar Vikas Pandey said that on Monday, the police got information that two people were playing online betting in a car near the office of senior Section engineer near Railway colony.
After forming the team, a raid was conducted. From there the police arrested Mustaq Ahmed, a resident of Kalyanpur and Saddam, a resident of Saheb Nagar Kalyanpur.
According to the ACP, both of them were betting online on the India-West Indies match. tnn
