420 new Covid-19 cases in Vid

Nagpur: After Sunday’s break, the daily Covid-19 test count almost touched 7,000 mark on Monday which reflected in the Tuesday’s Covid-19 tally of Vidarbha.
Total 420 new cases were reported in the region. On the other hand, 473 patients recovered. Now, total 2,808 patients are under treatment in Vidarbha.
Nagpur reported highest 212 new cases on Tuesday, followed by 82 in Bhandara and 37 in Amravati. Nagpur district also reported 267 recoveries. Bhandara followed here too with 71.
This shows that although cases are coming, recoveries are also coming in the same areas which means, the recovery rate is good in this wave. At present, the recovery rate of Vidarbha is near 98%.
Total 6,826 tests were conducted in the region. Apart from Nagpur’s 2,583, Amravati (928) and Bhandara (974) also conducted near 1,000 tests in the last 24 hours. Other districts also increased the daily tests. The overall test positivity is now under 7%. No death was reported due to Covid-19 on Tuesday.
Though, 2,808 patients are under treatment in the region, a very few of them are hospitalized. For example, Nagpur has 1,510 patients under treatment but only 66 of them are hospitalized.
Nagpur district conducted 2,583 tests. Out of them, 1,775 were conducted in the city while 808 in rural Nagpur. Out of day’s 212 new cases, 133 were reported from city, while 79 in rural Nagpur. In recoveries also, city accounted fot 172 out of 267 and rural accounted 95.
