The investigating team has identified the conspirators and assailants in the case, and a search is on for them.
Sources said that those who have been arrested in the case so far are conspirators. The conspiracy was hatched over a period of time, and the accused have scouted for several targets, and Praveen was probably an easy target, they added. Meanwhile, the police have invoked various provisions of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), as the murder has led to general fear in the minds of the public. Other than various IPC sections, the accused have been booked under section 16 (punishment for terrorist act), 18 (punishment for conspiracy) of the UAPA.
