Mysuru: The tiger that killed Puttaswamy Gowda on the Bandipur forest border on July 31, remains elusive.
Although about 30 camera traps have been fixed near the spot to identify the tiger prowling in the vicinity, there is no trace of any movement since the attack on the man in Nanjangud taluk. Two tamed elephants Rohit and Parthasarathy from Rampura elephant camp too have been deployed to locate the tiger.
Bandipur officials have sought permission from higher-ups to place a cage with bait at the spot to trap the big cat.
Nanjangud tahsildar Shivamurthy M confirmed TOI that no tiger has been sighted near the spot even on the second day of the operation.
