Rajkot: Jobless man nabbed for looting Rs 14 lakh

RAJKOT: A resident of Jamnagar, who looted his uncle of Rs 14 lakh in cash and escaped, was arrested near Gondal on Tuesday.
Accused Hardik Chovatiya had been staying with his cousin Ashok in Shandar Township near Kothariya Solvent for the past one month. He was trying to get a job or to start his business, but neither was working out.
On Monday night, Ashok, his father Govardhan, brother Jagdish, wife Sangita and a friend had gone to complete some paper formalities for their house which they had sold for Rs 14 lakh.
They went on three bikes to Mavdi crossroads to meet the buyer Kaushal Sinsangiya, who handed over the cash and papers. Hardik and Ashok’s father Govardhan, who had the bag of cash, were returning home on a bike while the others were following separately.
