Pre-paid meters will be installed in all government offices, said energy minister Sunil Kumar on Tuesday
HUBBALLI: Energy minister Sunil Kumar on Tuesday said electricity sub-stations will be set up at 37 new locations in Hubballi within a year to meet the increase in demand.
Speaking to reporters after congratulating the newly appointed junior powermen, who are undergoing training at Despande Foundation, at an event organised by Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited (Hescom) here on Tuesday, he said, steps will be taken to install pre-paid meters in all government offices.
“110 KV stations are being inaugurated at Mudhol, Belagi and Sindagi. Stern action has been taken to collect the electricity bills in government offices. We are planning to install pre-paid meters in government offices,” he said.
“Let the learning constant. Work sincerely at assigned locations to bring a good name to the company,” he advised newly appointed staff.
Hescom managing director Bharati D, KPTCL technical director Chandrasekhar and other Hescom officials were present.
