The government on Monday passed bill to revoke the suspension of four MPs in the Lok Sabha.
A week ago, the government had cracked the whip against protesting Lok Sabha MPs by pushing through a motion to suspend four opposition MPs for the remaining period of the monsoon session.
The MPs suspended for "unruly protests, including carrying placards" in the House were Manickan Tagore, Jothimani, TN Prathapan and Ramya Haridas, who were part of the opposition protest and sloganeering in the Well of the House over inflation and some GST rates.
The resolution was moved within an hour of Speaker Om warning protesting opposition MPs that carrying placards was against rules and those insisting on doing so after 3 PM may have to go out.
