Nothing to panic, be more vigilant and careful: Expert on first Monkeypox death

Referring to maiden Monkeypox death in India, Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital, MD, Suresh Kumar said that there is nothing to panic but people should remain more vigilant.Speaking to ANI, Suresh Kumar said, “Deaths on Monkeypox cases range from 1 to 3 per cent but in higher risk groups it may be much more. Most of the patients who have Monkeypox by and large recover very well without any complications.” “There is nothing to panic right now but we have to be more vigilant and careful,” he added.
