It was a special weekend for the team of 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect'.

Bollywood actor R Madhavan spent quality time with scientist Nambi Narayanan and superstar Rajinikanth on Sunday.

An elated Madhavan took to social media to share a video where Rajini could be seen honouring the actor and Narayanan after the movie's success. The 'Robot' star presented the duo with silk shawls.

Alongside a nine-second-long video, the 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein' star said he was excited to get blessings from a 'one-man industry' and a 'legend'. "it's a moment etched for eternity," he wrote.

Madhavan went on to thank the megastar for his affection and the 'kindest words' for this film. "This motivation has completely rejuvenated us. We love you," his post concluded.

The trio met after Rajini had lauded Madhavan and Narayanan's film on social media.

The 71-year-old had lauded 'Rocketry', urging youngsters to watch it. In his Tamil tweet, the superstar praised Madhavan's debut attempt as a director. "Madhavan has through his realistic acting and filmmaking proved that he is among the finest directors. My heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Madhavan for having given a film like this," his tweet read.

Madhavan, who played the role of Narayanan in the film, directed, produced and wrote the film.

'Rocketry' traces the life of Narayanan, a former ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer who was caught in the throes of a spy scandal. The biographical drama, which was shot in multiple languages simultaneously including Hindi, Tamil and English, unveils the truth behind the mystery.

According to Box Office India, the movie - which was released on July 1 - has managed to earn Rs 19.62 crore in the domestic market.
