Korean Air to Resume Flights to Barcelona and Rome in September

(29 July 2022, 11:54 +07)  Korean Air has unveiled plans to resume flights from Incheon (ICN) to Barcelona and Rome from September, after being suspended in March 2020 due to the global pandemic.

The airline has been gradually restoring its European network and resumed Milan and Vienna services earlier this month.

Flights to Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (FCO) in Rome will resume on 1 September 2022 and will operate thrice weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Korean Air is scheduled to depart from Incheon at 13:00 and arrive in Rome at 19:30. The return flight is scheduled to depart from Rome at 21:25 and arrive in Incheon at 15:40, the following day.

Thrice weekly flights to El Prat Airport (BCN) in Barcelona will resume on 2 September 2022, and will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The flights are timed to depart from Incheon at 11:40 and arrive in Barcelona at 19:00. The return flight is slated to leave Barcelona at 21:00 and arrive in Incheon at 16:05 the next day.

“We are excited to welcome passengers back to Rome and Barcelona after two and a half years. The European market is recovering faster than expected, and we are seeing a strong comeback in travel demand. We have recently resumed our Milan and Vienna routes and increased capacity on other routes. We will continue to closely monitor market trends and reinstate our remaining network accordingly as we work towards full recovery,” said Mr. Jumin Kim, General Manager and Director of Western Europe Regional Office of Korean Air.
